The Fiji Australia Business Council and the Australia Fiji Business Council are pleased to announce their 2022 Joint Business Forum to be held at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa, Natadola, Fiji, on September 1st to 3rd, 2022. The Forum theme is “Vuvale – The New Paradigm”. You are invited to register and attend.
Fijian Prime Minister Bainimarama and Australian Prime Minister Albanese are invited to speak to the Forum. Due to COVID this normally annual bilateral business meeting between Fijian and Australian business and government is the first such Forum since 2019. Participants enjoy the unparalleled opportunity to network with senior Fijian and Australian based policy makers and senior business people plus learn about business challenges and opportunities in bilateral trade from outstanding presenters.
The program includes speeches by senior members of both governments, industry and investment experts, with special focus on the prevailing Fijian / Australian bilateral business and economic environment.
The planned outcomes of the Forum are for delegates to improve their understanding of the opportunities and challenges of business between the countries and to enhance the bilateral business and investment relationship between both countries. It is anticipated that both governments will improve their understanding of the issues which businesses in each country face and what they could do to improve bilateral trade in goods and services.
Fiji offers a range of opportunities for Australian businesses, for example in Business Process Outsourcing, building and construction, agribusiness, capital works/infrastructure including roads and bridges, power, water and sewerage, ports and airports, food and beverage and ICT products and services including back office and remote services.
The provisional program can be viewed by clicking here and you can register through this online form or by downloading this interactive form.
Register early for this conference as space is limited and demand is heavy. Please note all rooms at the Intercontinental, outside of our 100 room booking block, are near to sold out so room bookings are crucial to be done as soon as possible in order to secure your room, and rooms not taken by July 20 may be handed back to the resort for general sales. There are presently (as of June 17th) 100 rooms available to FABC registrants at this special rate. These will go quickly. Once these rooms are taken Forum registrants will need to make their own arrangements at prevailing rates at other resorts.
There are still opportunities for sponsorship of two sessions at the conference. Please contact Mr. Himen Chandra, Conference Chairperson, on telephone +679 992 3259 or by e-mail himen@comforthomefurnishing.com to discuss your interest.
