The Fiji Australia Business Council and the Australia Fiji Business Council are pleased to announce their 2024 Joint Business Forum to be held at the Grand Pacific Hotel, Suva, Fiji, from 29th to 31st August 2024. The Forum theme is “New Challenges, New Solutions”. You are invited to register and attend.
Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Manoa Kamikamica has confirmed to speak at the Forum together with other high-profile speakers and industry experts. Our premier business forum is where chief Fijian and Australian-based policymakers and senior business people come together to discuss challenges, solutions, trends and opportunities in Fijian and Australian bilateral trade and economic environments. Investments in the following sectors in Fiji are growing – Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, Business Process Outsourcing, Building and Construction, Manufacturing, Energy, Health, Mining and Groundwater, Tourism, Audiovisual, Capital works (roads and bridges, water and sewerage), Ports and Airports, Food and Beverage, and ICT products and services.
Our Forum has set its sights on outcomes that are more than just having its delegates network and improve their understanding of the opportunities and challenges of business between the countries. When you view the program to be released in early June 2024, you will see that beyond regional perspectives we will explore innovation and global partnerships. Beyond the present, we will share a futuristic view of what is shaping our economic futures in the region – from technology, material upcycling, infrastructure and tourism. With the AUD4 billion Australia Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) that commenced in 2019, and Phase I of the Fiji Tourism Development Program in Vanua Levu (Na Vualiku) project financed by the World Bank for USD 61.5 million, opportunities abound in Fiji for Australian businesses. We will have speakers from these ongoing and upcoming programs so delegates have access to firsthand key information.
